Trading Discipline
11 Trade frequency cap
Trading too many times in a single day or a single hour usually means you are operating on emotion. Both opening and closing a position count as one trade; repeatedly adding to a position without selling also counts toward the total.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Off by default. |
| Per day | Default 15 trades; 0 = unlimited. |
| Per hour | Default 5 trades. |
| On exceed | "Warn only" pushes a "Trading frequency is high" alert; "Force cooling-off" triggers a circuit breaker with the message "Trade frequency limit reached — cooling-off enforced." Default is Force cooling-off. |
| Cooling-off | How many minutes the circuit breaker lasts when Force cooling-off is selected. Default 60 minutes. |
The card shows how many trades you have made today and in the current hour, along with your limits. When you are one trade away from a limit, it reminds you that the next trade will be handled according to your On exceed setting. When this rule is off, the counts are still displayed for your reference but nothing is blocked.
