Telegram: One-tap setup with the platform bot
The simplest option: no need to create a bot or find a group ID. Reminders are sent to you directly by the platform bot in a private chat.
- Open the Reminders page and find the Telegram card.
- Make sure Enable is on, set Mode to Platform bot (recommended), and save.
- Click "One-tap bind Telegram" to open the binding window.
- If you signed in with Telegram, click "Use the Telegram account I signed in with". To use a different account, click the Telegram button below and confirm in the Telegram window that appears.
- Keep the "Allow the bot to send me messages" option checked, otherwise it cannot deliver reminders.
- When you see "Bound (ending in ××××)", go to Telegram and check for the "Binding successful" message.
If it says "Bound, but the bot cannot reach you yet": Telegram does not allow a bot to message someone who has never spoken to it first. Click the "Open in Telegram" link in the window, tap Start in the bot conversation, then come back and click "Send a test message".
- After binding, the same window lets you "Send a test message", "Switch to a different Telegram account", or "Unbind".
- When Enable is off, the window will remind you that reminders are not being sent to Telegram.
