General: Sound & Voice, Global Quiet Hours
Reminders use Edge neural voices by default (best audio quality). If you use the Edge browser, the same neural voices run directly in your browser without going through our servers. In Chrome and other browsers, our servers synthesize the audio; sentences that have already been played are cached on your computer so the same sentence does not need to be downloaded again. If neither method works, the system automatically falls back to the browser's built-in voices (Windows local voices, offline). The engine can be set to Auto (recommended), Edge only, or Browser only. There are 13 voice options (8 Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Taiwanese Mandarin, and English). Voice mode can be fixed, Random, or Daily. When the website is open, audio plays through the website; when the extension is online, audio plays alongside the extension's push notification (in that case the website shows the popup silently so the sound does not play twice). Click Preview to audition the result.

Global quiet hours:

|---|---|
| Enable | Default: off. |
| From / To | Default: 23:30 to 07:30. During this period, Discipline rules are still evaluated and reminders are still sent, but no alert sound plays and nothing is read aloud. Even the most urgent notifications pushed to your phone will not use the loudest alert tier. |
